#7 A Tale of Two Vacua
João Viana, Maria Gonçalves
Supervisor(s):
In the early Universe, vacuum bubbles were generated during the electroweak phase transition that expanded and collided violently producing strong gravitational waves that are going to be detected in the following decades. Maybe, ...we do not actually know. In some scenarios, different types of vacuum bubbles appear, expand and fight for the domination of the Universe. The physics inside these bubbles is identical but weird interfaces between the bubbles appear that we call domain walls. As it is almost summer, we need help trying to understand domain walls, how they move and how they disappear.
